Introduction
We are going to go over a High Protein Low Carb Salmon With Mediterranean Glaze Recipe. This is one of my favorites nutrient packed super healthy recipe for people looking to lose weight yet keep some flavor in their meals.
Salmon in general is a nutrient packed powerhouse with a lot of health benefits particularly for your skin, hair and eyes. It’s rich in Omega-3 fatty acids which is something that most western diets lack on.
The most important part when it comes to Salmon is to select a cut of the fish that is not from a farm raised fish. Unfortunately these days a very high percentage of Salmon is sourced from farms in Scotland or Norway.
While this is a sustainable practise to meet the very high demand for it, it also means you are reliant on whatever they feed the fish there. Unless you know that specific information it’s taking a risk and you are better off paying a few extra dollars and buying a wild caught ocean or lake salmon.
This recipe is baby friendly too if you reduce the amount of salt and garlic that you use. I’d say the main audience for it is:
- People looking for a low calorie meal
- People looking for a high protein meal
- People looking to add naturally a good source of omega-3 fatty acids in their diet
- People trying to lose weight while still wanting to keep some flavor in their meals.
We will be accompanying this salmon with a Mediterranean glaze that will make it even more delicious and blend in well with it’s natural fats.
